Jackson Springs

We went to Jackson Springs Park that was the park that Andrew Jackson camped at a long time ago. It joins with the new riverwalk in Macon. We looked at rocks and I saw a lot of feldspar and granitic type rocks! We sifted the soil to see particle size and used water to press it down further and get accurate measurements! The riverwalk trail is the only in Middle Georgia and it has lots of historic places on the trail. Jackson Springs used to encompass from the park up to the Grey Highway. It used to have a zoo.
